夜想

今回は、夜空の帯を渡り3匹の猫たちが無邪気に遊び回る夜の物語を表現しました。

そしてこの星空は、筆で描かれたものではありません。

幾重にも色を重ねて作り上げた青色のアクリル絵の具とメディウムを、独自の技術でしなやかな「布状」に固めました。そこからさらに細い帯状に一つ一つ切り出し、キャンバスの上で交差させるように編み込み、貼り付けています。

この方法で青の景色を作ることで、絵の具では決して生み出せない「物理的な空間の奥行き」と、光の角度によって全く異なる表情を見せる立体感が生まれてくれました。

22.5cm角という、お部屋に寄り添う飾りやすいサイズでありながら、そこに広がるのはどこまでも深い夜の猫さんたちの遊び場です。

一日の終わりに、間接照明の下で浮かび上がる星空のテクスチャーと、楽しげな猫さんたちの姿を楽しんでいただけますと幸いです。

For this piece, I expressed a night story where three cats playfully roam across the bands of the night sky.

And this starry sky is not simply painted with a brush.
Using my unique technique, I solidified blue acrylic paints and mediums—created by layering colors countless times—into a flexible, fabric-like material. I then cut this material into thin strips one by one, carefully weaving and applying them onto the canvas to intersect with each other.

By creating this blue scenery through this intricate method, a “physical depth of space” and a three-dimensional effect that completely changes its expression depending on the angle of the light are born—something that could never be achieved with traditional painting.

Though it is a compact 22.5 x 22.5 cm (8.8″ x 8.8″) square—an easy-to-decorate size that gently fits into your room—what expands there is an endlessly deep night playground for the cats.
